My 3 best words!

Ah yes, every parent looks forward to their baby's first's. The first time he rolls over, his first steps, his first words. What a joy to watch them grow and change along the way. Ethan has mastered three words to date. He can say several things, but there are 3 words that he says all the time. We know what they are and we know what they mean, and Ethan uses them correctly. Now, like any Father, I had a dream that baby's first words would be DaDa or MaMa and that these would be the words he mastered first. Well, no such luck. Like any boy, Ethan loves to eat. Proof being that he weighs 33 pounds at 16 months. His best words have to do with food. The first is asking for it.

I must admit he is polite and says "pees" (please)

The second word he's mastered is also about food. Being gateful for it.

Such a good little boy, He's very good about saying "tank chu" (Thank-you)

And yes, the third also has to do with food. The end of the entire process:

Yes, "caca" the spanish word for poop. He often hears it during the routine diaper change. I'm so proud of my little guy. And how about that facial expression at the end? Does that say CaCa or what?

Does my boy say "DaDa"? NO... he says "CaCa"!

Well that's crap I say. Time for some remedial learning!

"Ethan, Ethan! Come here right now"

"Now say DaDa..."

"No not CaCa.... DaDa"

This is gonna take a while, I'll get back with ya...

The Idaho Farmer!

Howdy! It's not easy being a farmer in the Great State of Idaho. In case you didn't know...where I live...it's known as the 'potato state'. Farmer's in Idaho are expected to produce the best potato's in the nation. They made us stop producing those Dan Quayle potatoe's because people didn't like corns with their potatoes. Me! I'm just a hard working farmer who gets up at the crack of dawn, and works hard all day. It ain't easy trudging out in the brisk morning chill to feed the chickens and break the ice off the top of the stock tank. I do it though, everyday, without fail... 'cause my animals depend on me!

I got the hay all stacked and ready for the snow to fly. I hope the upcomin' winter provides us with the moisture we will need, come summer time that is.

I reckon I'll fire up the John Deere and get some plowin done before the early evening sun disappears into the west. The days are just getting too short for me to accomplish all that needs to be done in a day. Do you hear that sound? Putt, Putt, Putt... that's me old John Deere. It's ready to go bust some clods! Watch out you clods, I'm comin' to bust you up!

Well, Good night folks, I sure hope my Giants make it to the World Series this year. Eat a baked potato tonight, Me and the little women could use your support! Ain't that right LuLu?
