The Little Man inside the Boy

Ethan's really...not that tall,
Just two feet - plus some inches.
But Mama loves his great big heart,
Whenever cheeks...she pinches.

He sometimes looks a little gruff
Like he's a real 'tuff' guy.
But ladies let me warn you now,
That smile, will make you sigh.

He hasn't started walking yet,
So some might think he's lazy.
But sit him up upon your lap...
And he will charm you krazy.

'Cause Ethan knows just when to smile,
His toothless grin will floor you.
This little man will snatch your heart,
Then leave you like a ChooChoo. All Aboard!

Like any man he loves his toys,
He'll sit and play for hours.
Until his tummy starts to groan,
Then, food he must devour.

He still has yet to get a ride,
Some mode of transportation.
But soon he'll have some hot rod buggy,
A cause for jubulation!

And just like any full grown man,
He's bald as bald can be.
He doesn't have a stitch of hair,
That anyone can see.

And when he eats, he's such a mess,
He eats just like a pig.
So if you feed him, keep in mind...
'Twill be a messy gig!

He's quite the jock, he's mighty strong,
His stocky football thighs.
A man of action, so few words...
He's not a standup guy.

He's got an arm for making throws,
A player in the making.
His eye is sharp, his wits are keen,
The lead he'll soon be taking.

So you may see a little boy,
When you look at our Ethan...
But I can tell you deep within,
The boy... you'll find the man.
